Saying “No” to toddlers at every single thing they do is not good for toddlers. This will interfere with their ability to discover their gift and becoming who they were meant to become. The toddler will stop listening to you.
Parents, you need to stay away from negative language such as “Don’t”, “No” and you need to stay away from raising your voice at your toddler.
Parents, you need to use positive language with your toddler. Instead of saying “Don’t go there.”, say instead “Stay here.”
Instead of saying “No” or “Stop”, distract your toddler with his/her favorite toy. Have your toddler play with his/her favorite toy instead. The toddler will turn to the toy. Problem solved. This is called the distraction method.
Logic does not work with toddlers, because of his young age.
Changing your toddler’s emotional states is the secrets to change your toddler’s behaviour. Before you can change your toddler’s behaviour, first you must build a rapport with your toddler.
This is easy. You build a rapport with your toddler by the following:
- Praise the good things your toddler does.
- Play with your toddler.
- Read to your toddler.
- Plant positive thoughts in your child’s head.
TO PRAISE YOU CHILD IS A MUST. Your child need to hear the positive things s(he) does. This plants positive thoughts in their minds, build their self-esteem and self-confidence.
Enjoy your toddler’s fingerprints on your windows, because children grow fast and they are gone before you know it.
Every child is a blessing from the Universe with their own gifts, so be grateful for your child. Children are a gift from God & the Universe.
